but always remember
to take it one step at a time.

Amy’s performing career started in dance; she first hit the stage at the age of 6, dancing with her older sister Celene. She then began singing classical music at the age of 9, and made her transition into performing at Country Music festivals across Queensland at the age of 11. She also began playing piano at this age, progressing to guitar at 13, finally leading to her greatest passion – at 16, Amy actively began song writing.

Amy draws her inspiration from numerous places. Her songwriting is influenced by numerous country, pop and musical theatre sources, namely Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift. She has always admired “triple threat” artists who can dance, sing and act, and with this in mind, honed her multi-disciplined craft throughout high school and beyond.

After 3 years of study, Amy graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Creative Industries from Queensland University of Technology. In 2010, Amy’s songwriting dexterity was recognised when her original song “Phone Companies” won the North Queensland Talent Quest.

Amy is driven by one motto: dream big, but always remember to take it one step at a time. As an artist she has done exactly this, strengthening her performance and song writing skills on a local level, and now branching out in the hope she can reach more people with her music. Amy finds the greatest reward in the positive feedback she receives from her audience; her ultimate enjoyment manifests when people ask who wrote a song she performed and she can answer, “Me".

On January 29, 2013, Amy Zaghini released her debut EP Mind Reader at the Full Throttle Theatre’s Courthouse Theatre Townsville. Overnight, Mind Reader made the top 50 on iTunes’ Pop Album Charts, and since, her film clip for single “I was your first” has reached over 8,000 views on YouTube. Following the release, Amy’s songs have been heard on commercial radio and have also seen success in Triple J’s Unearthed Competition – Amy’s song “Phone Companies” has reached number two on the Unearthed Pop chart and an impressive number 31 overall.

Amy launched her independent debut album "Sweet Out Of Sight" on the 13th December 2014 in Townsville and more recently a music video for single “We're Done”. Amy has performed at a number of Queensland festivals and events including the 2016 Dirt n’ Dust Festival as a guest artist, the Townsville 400, the Townsville Seafood Festival, Magnetic Island Race Week and the 2016 Palm Creek Folk Festival.

Now living and working in London, Amy has released two new singles "Malibu" and "Mistake". You can watch the new music video for Mistake on YouTube.
